4:00 p.m. until 7:30p.m.

New Stories to Share Each Year
Be sure to mark your calendar and plan on joining us for one of Jacksonville’s most popular events. The program, Meet the Pioneers, has been playing to sell-out crowds since it first began in 2006. Take a special evening walking tour through Jacksonville’s torch-lit cemetery where you will be greeted by the Spirits of the early Pioneers. Dressed in costumes they are most anxious to share their stories of early life in Jacksonville and the Rogue Valley with visitors. Learn what life must have been like in the mid to late 1800’s and what were the important topics and events of the day.

Dress for fall weather and be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. May not be appropriate for small children and please, no pets. Tours depart every 15 minutes and take approximately one hour to complete.

Tickets will go on sale starting Wednesday, September 11, 2013. The cost is $12 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, or $29 for a family (up to 2 adults and 3 children). Tickets may be purchased at the Jacksonville Chamber and Visitor Information Center located on North Oregon Street (next to the Post Office) or by calling 541 899-8118 for reservations.

Please note: Tickets are sold by the departure time of the tour you choose to take. The first tour will depart promptly at 4:00 p.m. and then every 15 minutes thereafter, with the last tour departing at 7:30 p.m.

As this has been a sell-out event, we highly recommend purchasing tickets early as to not be disappointed. Tickets will be sold at the event but only on a first-come-first served, space available basis.
